Who We Are

We are a diverse group of women of all ages and backgrounds who share a desire to give back in a significant and fulfilling way. The experience of making a difference is what makes a life meaningful and we understand the power of collective energy – when women connect, giving as one, positive transformational change is possible.

Impact Las Vegas is a nonprofit women’s giving circle. Membership consists of women who donate $1,000 each year. Membership donations are combined from a minimum of 100 members to give high impact $100,000 grants to Southern Nevada nonprofits in the areas of culture, education, environment, family, and/or health & wellness. 100% of member donations are given to grant recipients.

What We Do

For most of us, gifts in the $100,000 range are beyond our individual means. Pooled dollars invested together towards a key issue or cause can have a transformational result for a nonprofit organization, their beneficiaries, and the Southern Nevada community as a whole.

Impact Las Vegas funds initiatives, project or program grants in five areas of focus: Culture, Education, Environment, Family, and Health & Wellness. Members have opportunities to learn about our community through the annual grant review and award process. Member volunteers read the grant applications, debate the merits of each, perform site visits and narrow their choices. Finalists are selected from each focus area and their projects are presented to the entire membership at the annual meeting in June. Each member casts one vote to determine the nonprofit grant recipient(s) for that year.

Our goal as an organization is to reach a minimum of 100 members by December 31, 2013 so that our first $100,000 grant can be given in June 2014. 100% of the $1,000 membership donation is awarded in grants to nonprofit organizations in Southern Nevada. Through active participation on grant committees, members learn more about the work of local organizations and charities, help create new solutions for community problems and see the human face of the projects we fund.
