Overview


  • One hundred percent of member's individual $1,000 donations are combined together and returned to the community in the form of grants.  
  • The Impact Las Vegas  funding cycle runs from July 1 of the current year to June 30 of the following year. In each funding year, we collect money through December, solicit and evaluate grant proposals January through May, and award the grant(s) in May/June.
  • We announce the exact amount of money available in the funding year in early January after the December 15th membership deadline.
  • The number and amount of the grants we offer is determined by the number of members we have as of December 15th of each year. Then in January of each year, we invite organizations to submit a letter of inquiry for our grants. Full applications are then due from eligible nonprofit organizations in March and in May, we select the recipient(s). Grant recipient selection is a four-part process that includes completing our required forms. We do not accept grant requests outside of this annual process.
  • Grant applications are accepted in each of the focus areas: culture, education, environment, family, or health & wellness.  
  • Impact Las Vegas  members serve on committees and evaluate the grant proposals. The committees select finalists.  At the Annual meeting we invite all members to cast a vote for the winning grant recipient(s).

  • Are all questions answered with complete, concise, and accurate information?
  • Does your application reflect this year's Impact Las Vegas grant amount ($xxx,xxx)? (no more; no less)
  • Has your organization been in operation for three years at the time of this submission?
  • Does your organization have a solid and uncontroversial reputation?
  • Will funding be used for activities other than those restricted by the terms of our grant?
  • Confirm that your organization hasn’t been awarded a grant greater than $100,000 from Impact Las Vegas within the past six years.
  • Will the awarded funds be fully used within 36 months of award?
  • Is your organization's Federal 501(c)3 Tax Determination letter attached?
  • Does the name of your organization match the name on the 501(c)(3) Tax Determination Letter? If not, please explain below.
  • If the name of your organization DOES exactly match the name on your tax determination letter, please enter N/A.


Impact Las Vegas Foundation Inc. is a Nevada nonprofit corporation exempt from federal taxes under U.S. Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). All contributions may be tax deductible pursuant to the provisions of section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
